Marion Lane uses proven teaching techniques, together with modern resources and aids to learning that will enable teachers training with us to develop not only their own performance skills together with knowledge of their genre, but also the ability to teach well in their own right.
Unlike a mirror, digital video captures a performance from any angle and provide documentation of your progress. Instant playback allows you to see your performance and gives the opportunity for detailed feedback.
Performers who make the fastest progress and who ultimately become their best, make extensive use of performance imagery. We will help you to use this positive visualisation in several ways, from skill correction to improvement in both consistency and quality within actual performance.
For new students an initial assessment of your performance level can be made by submission of tape/DVD. This is particularly helpful for overseas students planning an intensive course with us.
We don’t stop with your success. We will continue to mentor you, offering personal advice and support on every aspect of your teaching career.
Claire started attending classes with Marion Lane at the age of 5. She has continued to train with Marion, firstly as a competitor, during which time she won 5 national titles, and more recently taking professional qualifications. She is now aged 19, and is qualified as an Associate of the ISTD.
