Overseas students and the World Dance Council

Overseas students are governed by the rules of the WDC, which states that a person resident in another country who wishes to take a professional examination of an examining body in another country, is only permitted to do so if the following criteria are met:

  1. The candidate is already a member of a professional examining body of their own country (which must be recognised by the WDC and can produce documented proof of membership), or
  2. The candidate has resided in the country in which they wish to take the examination for a period of two years. If the candidate is not a member of the professional examining body of their own country (which must be recognised by the WDC), written permission must be obtained from the WDC recognised ruling authority in that country.
